# What is so interesting about reading Books?
From childhood, our parents and teachers kept on saying to read books.
But we are never interested in reading books.
Why?
Why don’t we like books? Because they are boring.
No. Some books may be boring. But the truth is we are not reading the right book.
But what made me so interested in reading books?
I am not a reader.
Let me share my experience:
Even in college when most teens read novels and storybooks.
I feel like it is so boring. Waste of time. Instead of that I can watch movies, listen to music, or if I want to motivate myself I watch motivational videos.
One day, one of my friends suggested reading a Fiction novel. I thought “ let’s give it a try”. So I started reading short stories online.
At the start, it was boring, because I don’t know what kind of stories to pick.
After reading a few books. I started to like them.
Instead of surfing online, I started reading stories whenever I got the chance.
Because they are so creative, imaginary, and well written.
For brief moments of time, books release us from the constraints of our own reality. They take us beyond our world and into someone else’s real or imaginary world.
We all love Imaginary fiction characters movies like Harry Potter, Batman, Superheroes, James Bond, Fairies, etc…
During childhood, we all want to be like them.
But, what if we can see, do, and feel what our imaginary character does?
What if we stand in their place and live their life?
Won’t be great. Like dreams come true.
Yes, that’s what it feels like.
Not only Fiction books are Interesting,
But Non-fiction books are also so engaging.
At the start, it will feel challenging to focus and complete the book to the end.
It won’t be as interesting as reading fiction books.
Because we didn’t find the right book to inspire us to read.
But once you start reading Non-fiction, you will hardly pick fiction books over Non-fiction.
Non-fiction books are more mindful books.
It teaches us the lifestyle of living.
“Wherever you are, be there. Lifestyle is not something we do; it is something we experience. And until we learn to be there, we will never master the art of living well” — Jim Rohn.
